As I started 2014 & RWS, I challenged myself to create a weekly series of something that has always been dear to me: hymns. As all good intentioned, yet over zealous projects go, it wasn't completed in 52 consecutive weeks, so hopefully 2015 will see the end of the series!
So here they are in alphabetical order, beginning & ending with the first two hymns I penned back in January 2014.
All hymns were either handwritten with pen + ink or hand painted & then scanned in for editing.
From a couple's first dance lyrics at their wedding to favorite children's stories, quotes will always be a mechanism to transport one back to a special moment. All prints were hand painted or hand drawn & then scanned in for editing.
From showers to save the dates to celebrating birthdays. All hand painted or hand drawn & then scanned for editing.
Prayers and Verses
There's always that one prayer or verse you come across that tends to linger in the back of your mind. It's something that moves you or causes you to stop and think.
For the past few years, mine has been Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God." A perfect reminder that I'm not always in control, and that's okay.
All of these prayers and verses have been something special to others. All were hand drawn or hand painted & then scanned in for editing.
Sorority creeds to college fight songs, notepads to recipe cards, miscellaneous is the perfect category for these odds and ends. All designs were hand drawn or hand painted & then scanned in for editing.
